In 2007, due to extenuating circumstances, we changed the time of VBS from the morning to having it at night. I entered into that week with fear and trepidation. I knew that God wanted us to have VBS but I had no idea if we would have enough workers to facilitate the week or if there would be any children attending. God worked everything out. Not only did we have more workers than we had ever had in the past, we had more children and the whole week seemed to go smoother than I can ever remember it going. This year, through much prayer, we have decided to continue VBS in the evening. Like every year, we are in need of some help for VBS. If you are free to help, please come see me and we can find a place for you. Our first meeting for VBS will be on May 4th, after the morning service. If you have helped in the past and wish to do so again this year, or if you are even interested in helping, please attend this meeting so we can know how to plan VBS. If you are not able to help during the evening for VBS, there are still many things that you can do if you are willing. Every Thursday at 9:00 AM until about noon we will be working on getting of the sets ready for VBS. If you are handy with a Sharpie or good with paint, (or even if you are not), please join us. |
