CHURCH HISTORY

In April of 1967, Dr. Ron Storz and his family moved to the Northwest
with a burden and a desire to see God do a work in this region. God opened doors and the Storz started a church in Lynnwood in
the Veterans for Foreign Wars building. God then moved the Storz to plant a church in the small town of
Everett. By 1971, the church was able to support Dr. Storz full time. The church began to grow and by
the following year, the church desperately needed larger facilities.
After much searching and prayer, the church was led by God to its present location. The property, almost 5 acres, was purchased for $18,000 in April of
‘72. In 1975, the need for a new building was apparent and God again began to open doors. The church secured a loan and began to build a sanctuary. By 1977, more Sunday School space was needed and a two-story
Sunday School building was built.
The church prospered through the 80’s and by 1985, Dr. Storz saw the need for a larger sanctuary. After
much prayer, plans were made for the present auditorium. Dr. Storz wanted to build the auditorium with cash and not get a mortgage for
this building. With thehelp of God and the sacrifice of God’s people, the new building was built debt free. By April
15,1990, the building was complete. God continued to work in the church through the ‘90’s and
prepare the way for the future.
In 2001, Dr. Storz saw the need for a new associate pastor. Through much prayer, Erik and Rebecca Sanders came to serve in
the ministry. Erik grew up at Bible Baptist Church and had attended with his parents since 1986. In November, 2006, Dr.
Storz retired and Pastor Sanders became the senior pastor. God has
blessed this church mightily over the last four decades; we anticipate His blessing in the future.
