Well, another Open House has come and gone. How was it for you?  Do you feel fulfilled, or is there indifference in your heart?  I can’t seem to shake the sentiment of Paul in I Corinthians when he said, That I might by all means save some.  Each year we have a handful of tailor-made opportunities to get people in church to hear the Gospel. Today was one of those days. Did you "by all means” tell your lost acquaintances?

We have passed out thousands of flyers and have given countless personal invitations.  At the time of this writing I have no idea how Open House went, but this one thing I know: if you did your best at inviting your friends, family, and co-workers you have fulfillment.  Paul said he did what he did for the sake of the Gospel. Wow! I wish this was my testimony - that everything I do, I do for the sake of the Gospel.

All of us fall on a spectrum somewhere with one end being Paul and the other being depraved indifference for those around us that are on their way to hell.  The only thing standing between an eternity separated from God in everlasting fire, and an eternity in heaven is us.   As Pastor preached a few years ago, there is no plan B for getting the Gospel out to people.  God chose you and me to do that work. As we go forward, let's pray that God gives each of us an opportunity to share our faith, and pray that we have enough faith to take that opportunity.

In closing, I want to say thank you for all your hard work leading up to Open House.  To be honest, I have been nervous to see how the community will respond with us not having a meal.  At the end of the day the work is up to us, but the results are up to God.  To God be all the glory!

By His Grace,

 Pastor Green
